Parish of St. George in Remšnik settlement is the oldest parish in the Drava Valley, since it was mentioned already in 1201.

The church is located in the walled cemetery at the highest point of the settlement. The single naved church has a polygonal presbytery and a church tower located in front of the entrance façade. The façades are divided only in the church tower between the mezzanine cornices and corner pilasters, clock fields and semicircular mullioned windows. In the interior, the nave traverses into the presbytery which is concluded with pointed arch. The furnishing is from the Baroque period, while the main altar is from the period of Secession.

The church was built as a successor of the building from 1532 and its successor, which burnt down in 1863.

Located at the highest point of the village and together with the Baroque rectory, cemetery, and the administrative building, the church presents a nice variegation of the cultural heritage of the place.
